PLACES THAT WANT AMBER LED STREET LIGHTING
Independent Record - July 2019. Numerous cities, including Seattle, Phoenix, and Davis, California, have made the costly mistake of installing ugly, cold-white LED streetlights and later had to replace them due to public outcry. Helena can avoid such a debacle by installing warm spectrum LEDs at the outset. http://bit.ly/2YyqzCK

Duluth, Minnesota is taking a proactive approach to reducing light pollution and making better choices in LED street lighting technology. This video should be required for city/town/village councils all over the world.
Most LED streetlights installed today are blindingly bright, intense and glary. While blue wavelengths of light readily scatter in the eyeball causing disability glare, the dazzling light emitted by LED technology is also a result of excess luminance, which can damage retinal tissue and harm eyesight. Lowering the correlated colour temperature (CCT) is not enough to solve the issue of glare and excess luminance. It must be addressed by the proper application of lightpipe technology.
LED technology has unique properties unlike any other form of conventional lighting we've used before and it's complexity means the metrics we've relied upon cannot be applied. New metrics such as CCT fail, because all it does is give an indication of how warm or cool a light source appears to the human eye.
Other parameters which provide information about the various characteristics of light must be considered. These include Spectral Power Distribution SPD, Scoptopic / Phototopic Ration (SP Ratio), and Melanopic lux. Yet, these metrics also have limitations.
CheckAn insightful clip that explores the health risks of 5 G technology. The International Association of Firefighters began opposing cell towers on fire stations, after firefighters complained of health problems.
“These firefighters developed symptoms,” says Dr. Gunnar Heuser who conducted a pilot study on firefighters at a station with cell towers. This is the first piece of legislation to prevent 5G installation. With an organization as credible as the International Association of Firefighters opposing the roll out of 5G near their fire stations for very obvious reasons, why is it still being rolled out in very close proximity to peoples homes, our children’s schools, and places such as near doctors offices? out this great video
An excellent lecture given by Dr. Devra Davis, who is a visiting Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, and visiting Professor of Medicine at Ondokuz Mayis University, Turkey. She provides important insights about the problems of 5G technology in a lecture at Melbourne University.
Dr. Davis holds a B.S. in physiological psychology and an M.A. in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a PhD in science studies at the University of Chicago as a Danforth Foundation Graduate Fellow, and a M.P.H. in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins University as a Senior National Cancer Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow.
