Peter Allison, a retired management consultant, technology start-up mentor and amateur astronomer, was alerted to the many problematic aspects of poorly designed LED luminaires and their poor installation through his interest in astronomy. However, it was the much wider and important implications for Brisbane residents that led to detailed research on the topic and scrutiny of a luminaire trial by Brisbane City Council.
